Boo Hewerdine is universally acclaimed as one of Britain's finest
songwriters, with over 1000 published songs already recorded by a
diverse array of artists including KD Lang, Heidi Talbot, Kris Drever
(Lau), Chris Difford (Squeeze), Suggs (Madness) and Kim Richey.
However Boo's most popular work has been as collaborator, producer,
songwriter and guitarist for Eddi Reader (formerly of Fairground
Attraction). Boo and Eddi met after his band The Bible split in the
late 80's and over the last two decades they have been on an incredible
musical adventure. In 2014 Eddi released her tenth studio album
(Vagabond) and her classic "Songs of Robert Burns" album
produced by Boo Hewerdine was re-mastered and re-issued.
"Patience of Angels" brought a nomination for the Ivor
Novello Award for Hewerdine in 1995.
In a 2009 review of his album God Bless the Pretty Things, the BBC
described Hewerdine as "one of Britain's most consistently
accomplished songwriters". Nick Coleman of The Independent on
Sunday described Hewerdine as "one of the best songwriters we
have". The Birmingham Evening Mail described him as "one of
the country's finest lyricists".
Boo says "I am looking forward to singing songs from throughout my
writing career and also new songs from "My Name In The
Brackets". This will be an opportunity for fans to hear the new
material".
